DIRECTIONS: If you are going east on First Street, you will see the hospital on your right, Nielsen Library and the Rex Activity Center on your left. Turn left onto Stadium Drive (the street going north just before the stoplight crossing). The Computer Services Building is on the left, and the Student Union Building will be on your right. Carson Auditorium is at the north end of the Student Union Building. If you are going west on First Street, go through the stoplight crosswalk and take a right on Stadium Drive. Park anywhere on the street or in the parking lot across the street (there is a sign about needing a permit but it doesn't apply on Sunday). Come in through the double doors located in the courtyard with all the flowers.
All the college students are invited to make the journey over to Living Water after the worship service for a BBQ this Sunday. Thanks Rich & Jan, Bob & Jolene, and Elizabeth for serving at this event.
Two Services resumes Sunday, September 21
Well, we've been praying about this as a church for many weeks now and here we are on the verge of a big change. We'ce stepped out in faith in August offering two times of worship, at 9:15 and 10:45. Since we've never done this before (other than Easter of this year), you should probably expect that things won't be entirely smooth at first. We're a bunch of people who simply want to worship the Lord and be a part of his mission, we're not professional entertainers. Come as you are, with a desire to meet with the Lord, and don't sweat the details. The services will be identical, both contemporary in style. This is the season for us to BE the church of Jesus. If you've been wanting to invite someone to church NOW is the time. Unlike this summer, we'll have a seat available for your friend(s). Here's some more details that you might find helpful:
What about Sunday School? Sunday School will be during the 10:45 service. Children will be invited to sit with dads and moms until about 11:00 am when they will be dismissed to attend their classes. Right now we have two children's classes... 4-7 year olds with ChrisAnn Zook and 8-11 year olds with Marla Gesink. At this time we'll have the younger children in the parsonage and the older children in the church office. Adult Sunday School will take place in the parsonage with a fellowship time from 10:45 - 11:00 am.
What about Children's Church? Children's Church will be offered during the 9:15 service. Children will be invited to sit with their parents and will be dismissed to attend Children's Church at about 9:30 am. Children's Church will be held in the parsonage. Right now we have two age groupings, 4-7 year olds and 8-11 year olds.
Will Nursery be available both services? YES! If you or your friends have children under the age of 4 you can take them downstairs to our nursery staff during either service. We are currently working on expanding our nursery space. We are working towards having the older children in one room and the infants and crawlers in another room in the lower level of the church building. Parents and grandparents and teenagers, we will certainly be in need of more volunteers this fall. Can you serve one or two Sundays this fall during one of the worship services? It would be a blessing to all the parents! Call Rhoda at 378-6988 or Tanya at 580-0136.
Parking If you are planning to be at both services (worshiping at one, going to SS or serving in the other), please consider parking away from the church building, perhaps on a separate street, so that the flow of traffic around the church building goes smoothly and people can find parking spaces easily.
What's the Worship Order going to be like? Basically the same, except that we won't have a closing song at the end of each worship service. After the Sermon, I'll close with a Benediction and we'll be sent out into the world as disciples of the Lord.
Mothers Of Preschoolers (MOPS) - There will be monthly activities during the summer months. Anyone interested is invited.
Youth Group -The Living Youth Group continues to meet over the summer. The youth have seen lots of people recycling plastics and aluminum here at the church (the bins located near church office). Please pray for the youth of our community. Chuck 580-5750.

Christian Education Opportunities & News
Political Views, Emails and the Church - Here's an opportunity to learn how to bear with one another in love (Ephesians 4:2): This year should be the wildest ever in terms of political campaigns in our country, and emotions/;passion will be strong! Its imperative that we remember as Christians that while its important for us to be good citizens and to take an active role in the election process leading up to the November elections, its not OK to use church email lists or church property for the promotion of specific candidates or political agendas (Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, whatever). Please respect your fellow worshippers of Jesus who might have a different political view or belong to a different political party than you, and please protect the non-profit status of this congregation by living within IRS established boundaries. Thanks!
