Joy!

Written by

Dear Church,

It’s been such a treat to host Eagle Lake Camps and VBS this summer!  What a joy to see kids laughing and having fun with their peers!  More importantly there are a lot of kids in our community that have heard the gospel or are hearing the gospel this summer at Living Water.  We had several children receive Christ through Eagle Lake’s ministry and we’re praying for the children attending VBS this week that there would be children saved.  While the problems in the world might get a lot of our attention, let’s not forget that God is still moving in our midst.  Jesus is working through his church, by the power of the Spirit, to change lives.  What a privilege to be part of an eternal work!  Do you have a story to tell of someone being saved recently or a gospel conversation you had with someone?  I’d love to hear about it and perhaps share it with the congregation.  May the Lord give you grace this week to minister to others in the name of Jesus.

Here’s some of what’s happening at Living Water in the near future…

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

The project is proceeding according to the timeline and things are going well.  We took a big step forward this week with the concrete stem walls being poured.  We will likely see the concrete pad being poured in the by mid-August.  If it’s been awhile since you’ve thought about what we’re doing or you have questions, go to https://www.bringinglifeproject.org/ where we’ve posted lots of information on the project.  Thank you for your consistent financial giving.  Your pledges and financial contributions are huge!  Church please be in prayer for the new building.  Pray for the safety of the workers.  Pray for the project to be finished on time and under budget.  Pray for God to bless us financially even to the point that we would be debt free in the future.

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES 9:00 & 10:45 a.m.

This Sunday, August 2 we are celebrating the Lord’s Supper at both services.  We want to encourage you to wear a mask (we’ll have some on hand if you forget yours), and ask that you refrain from physical contact and keep some distance from others.  If you are sick please stay home and join us via the live stream of the service.

SATURDAY MASK ONLY WORSHIP SERVICE 6:00 p.m.

This Saturday, August 1 we are celebrating the Lord’s Supper at the Saturday service.

Since May we’ve really been missing a good section of our church on Sunday mornings who really want to be with the Lord and church in person, but because they are vulnerable to the virus can’t participate freely in a setting where lots of people aren’t wearing masks. So Saturday night services are Mask Only.

NEW DEACON CHAIRMAN

Recently Larry Gardner officially took over as the new Deacon Board chair.  Rick Dunnahoo has served on the Deacon Board for many years, including the last three years (at least) as Deacon Chairman.  He’s done an excellent job, especially in the areas of communication and administration, bringing a lot of order and structure to the ministry.  Thank you Rick for your faithfulness in serving Jesus as a Deacon!  Remember members, that if you need prayer or are in need of help, you can reach the Deacons at This email address is being protected from spambots. Thanks for reading!

“But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all.  For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:43-45).
