KNOW THE GOD WHO DELIVERS

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).

We all want a great life. But the world struggles mightily with how to get it. Of course we believe that Jesus holds the key to a great life. We believe that abundant life is found in a relationship with him. However, if this is true then why do self-professing Christians so often have the same personal struggles and problems as everyone else? Why are some Christians indistinguishable in their life and behavior from those who haven’t believed in Jesus? Shouldn’t there be differences? If Jesus really is the key to abundant life, shouldn’t those who claim his name be noticeably different? ...
