Motherhood & Manna

If you are a first time mom or a “seasoned” mom, we want to extend a warm welcome to you. Our hope is
that you will find encouragement, support, relevant teaching, and opportunities to develop relationships with other women who are in your same season of life.

Welcome

We know motherhood is better together, so ALL moms are welcome at our meetups. From the time you get pregnant or make the brave decision to foster or adopt, until the time your youngest graduates high school, our doors are open. We are a Christian-led group, but you do not need to be a churchgoer to join us. We welcome women from all faith or non-faith backgrounds and beliefs. The vision of our group is to see no mom alone – because

Motherhood is better together

What to Expect

Our mom meetups include practical teachings through speakers, demonstrations or activities. Sometimes we get a little crafty, sometimes we get a little crazy, but we always have fun!!! Plus, there's food and lots of coffee. Meetup mornings are often the only opportunity our moms have to sit and eat without kids.

We See You, Mama

Motherhood is hard, like really hard. We get it. But you don't have to walk through the hard alone, and you definitely don't have to walk without hope. Our mom meetups are a great place to ask the hard questions, and to set aside pride and ask for help when it just becomes too much. We see you, mama. And we would be honored to walk with you.

What About the kids?

Our mom meetups are for moms, but we love your kids too! Thank you for trusting us with your children in our childcare. Children enjoy a safe, clean and stimulating environment with our background checked workers, while moms enjoy the company of other moms.

We all love our time together so much, we understand it is hard to have to miss. However please be mindful of others – anyone who has shown signs of illness within the last 24 hours should stay home. We have newborn babies, pregnant moms and lots of little kids who don’t want to share the germs.

As a courtesy to all moms, please silence your cell phone during our meetings. If you need to take a call during our meetings, please excuse yourself from the meeting area to do so.

Please uphold confidentiality - anything said during discussion time should not be discussed outside the meeting.

Each table is asked to provide brunch several times per year. The Hospitality leader will let you know your  table's schedule and will provide a signup sheet for food items.

Parental Guidelines

To ensure the quality and safety of our church nursery and toddler rooms, we ask parents to follow these guidelines:

  • Please make sure to fill out and return the enclosed information sheet on your child. This information ensures the safety of your child.

  • For the health and safety of all children, nursery staff and the peace of mind of our children’s parents, children that have had the following symptoms within the last 24 hours will not be accepted:

    • Fever higher that 100 degrees

    • Diarrhea

    • Vomiting

    • Yeast Infection, monilia, thrush

    • Impetigo (infected wounds), boils, untreated ringworms

    • Runny nose with green or yellow mucus discharge

  • Please take children that are potty training to the restroom before you drop them off in the room.

  • Please make sure your child has a fresh diaper before leaving them in the room. We will be limiting changing diapers. In the rare event that your child “dirties” his/her diaper during the service, a paid worker will change your child. If you prefer to change your own child’s diaper, please request that we page you.

  • If your baby will require to be fed, please have a bottle already made. Due to food allergies, snacks will no longer be provided in the toddler nursery. If your child stays in the nursery for both services please bring them for a snack during the fellowship time in between services.

  • We encourage you to leave any special items your child may need to feel more comfortable. (i.e. blanket, pacifier, doll, toy, etc.)

If your child uses the nursery/toddler room regularly, please consider volunteering your time.

If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please contact Melissa Haddican at 510-299-1113. You may also e-mail us at childcare@livingwateralamosa.org

Your child/children are truly a blessing to Living Water and we love them very much! Thank you for allowing us to care for them!
